| Tobey painting used in Diorama - Original to be auctioned |
An original 1963 painting titled "The Battle at The Alamo" by the late famous historical illustrator and muralist Alton S. Tobey (1914-2005) has been incorporated as the background of a diorama depicting the famous 1863 battle by Diorama artist Tom Munson of Chagrin Falls, Ohio this month.
The original painting will be offerd for sale in an auction at William Jenack auctioneers in Chester, New York on November 23, 2008.

Introduction :
Your first painting with oil colors, learning and familiarising with oil colors as a medium,realising a first painting in oil colors on a canvas , passing through the structure of the composition,the colors,and the light and the shadow.
Objective:
To familiarise with oil colors as a medium and realising the first oil painting .
Practical details :
-Public: beginners /opened to all the public.
-Duration: 4days / 4 hours per day + 30 mn of break .
-Date: 16-17-18-19th of october 2008
-Time: Thursday the 16th of october from 7pm till 10:30pm (break 15 mn )
Friday the 17th of october from 7pm till 10:30pm (break 15mn)
Saturday the 18th and Sunday the 19th from 3pm till 7:30pm (break : 5pm till 5:30pm)
-Price: 220 € per person
*N.B: places are limited ,maximum 7 persons.

To become able to draw and to study a still life using charcaol as a medium.
