" People are hard to see....Driving down the street, a person may catch your attention for a second. But will you remember them ?.... Probably not.
An unremarkable, common person can be extraordinary when an artist allows you to see what he sees....Its about paying attention....noticing.
Painting the details of one's life by observing body language, mannerism and surroundings tells their stories. You see a person that is uniquely different from every other person in the world.
My art reveals as much about my prejudices and biases as it does about the people I paint....
I specialize in the back alleys of American life....painting the underside of our cultures."
